RR: Cathy's lovely RR
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Today, I received Cathy's lovely RR from Catherine Michelle. Catherine Michelle had so many things to do that she wasn't able to finish her square and decided to send me the parcel so I can stitch my square, then Jenna will stitch her and the RR will be sent back to Catherine so she can finish her square before the parcel went back to Cathy.

I will work on this RR as soon as I'm done with what I'm stitching. I think I'll be able to start at the beginning of next week.

Here is a picture of the parcel.

It is going to be beautiful when finished, isn't it?

Silkweaver fabric of the month
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I received my fabric of the month from Silkweaver. My option is the 18 x 18 surprise me fabric. I never know what will be the colour of the fabric nor everything about it until I receive it. But it's always a great pleasure when I receive my parcel as I love Silkweaver's fabrics.

Look at what was inside the small parcel.

It is my first parcel of this colour and I love it even though I don't know yet what I'm going to stitch on it.

I can't show you what I'm stitching as it's a surprise for a friend who may read this blog... So please, be patient...

More serene...
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Thank you all for your support, it means a lot for me!

After a conversation with my boss and then with him and the big boss, things have been clarified. It should be the same with my co-workers during our next work session (my boss told me he will talk to them). Now I know clearly what my tasks are. It's like someone took a weight off my shoulders! I feel better Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Once again, thank you for being here...

Many hugs

I need a break...
Things are not doing very well at work lately and the accumulation of what is left unsaid but that you hear by someone else or that you guess makes that I don't feel very well. I'm tired of all of this...

I know you will understand if I don't post as often as I did in the past (I may just post to show you some embroidery)... I will visit your blogs but please don't hold it against me if I don't post any comment...

I need a break until things turn in a better way
...

Take care and see you later

Needleroll for Anne
Anne received the needleroll I sent her for the needleroll exchange on Renée's board, so I can share a picture with you.

I used some Gloriana silk for this design inspired by one of Patricia Ann Designs samplers. Anne is a blue girl (and so I am) so I chose this colour for the needleroll. I stitched on a Silkweaver fabric.

Please, visit Ann's blog to see the goodies I sent with the needleroll and to read about her joy when she received my parcel. It's not my first exchange, but honestly, it's the first one I see someone so enthousiastic about what I sent...

I'm so happy you like it, Anne, because it was hard to send it as I wanted to keep it for myself...

Pearl Jam were very good!
I'm back home, safe and not covered in bruises like I was six yers ago. This year, I decided to have a seat ticket, I think the pit is not for me... It was different but I had a lot of fun, made I even had more fun because I didn't have to wonder what to do to not fall down!

It was 6PM when I arrived in front of the doors. I think I waited there about 30 minutes.

The opener My Morning Jacket went on stage at 8PM. I didn't know this band. They played about 45 minutes but I have to admit I thought their songs were quite all the same... Nevertheless, the guys were on form.

When the lights turned on, I saw that the pit was full and so were the seats.

Pearl Jam went on stage at about 9:15PM and it was a pure happiness during a little more than 2 hours. People in the pit were crazy and Eddie Vedder asked them to be safe...

You'll find the set list here. I can't wait to download the show!

I took some picture but as we were all moving and jumping, most of them are hazy. Nevertheless, this one is quite good.

Eddie did great, he did make great efforts and spoke French a lot. His speech about 9-11, Bush and the French position was very elegant, and he said "we thank you". Then during "Daughter/ABITW" : "President Bush leave the world alone!!!". Eddie was drinking French wine during the whole show.

I had a really great time. Pearl Jam is one of my favourite bands, I just love all their songs and I was so happy to hear them live! They were played so great, a lot of emotion!

Please guys, don't wait so long for the next time, 6 years are too much!!!

Pearl Jam
I'm going to see their show in Paris, tomorrow evening. The last time I saw them was in 2000 (Paris), it was a great show and I'm sure this one will be a great one too.

I had the choice between having a ticket to see Placebo or having a ticket to see Pearl Jam. That was too bad as I like the two bands but I couldn't have a ticket for them both because it would have been too expensive (ticket + train + hotel), so I had to choose. In fact, it wasn't too hard to choose because I've only seen Pearl Jam once (I've seen Placebo 3 times). So I had to see Pearl Jam again!!!

I have to admit, I'm very exciting, the last time I went to a show was 3 years ago!!!

It's my Birthday!
Yes, today is my birthday and I think it's the first time I receive so many gifts from friends !!!

If you read my previous posts you'll see I already received some gifts from dear friends (thank you so much) but I have other gifts to share with you!

First of all, dear friend Isabelle decided her lovely plaid was not enough and sent a few more gifts...

She's a doll! The stitched card is lovely and so are the other gifts. Thank you, my dear friend.

And yesterday I received a parcel from my friend, Doris. I found a notice on the parcel to warn me against the fact that the parcel may destroyed if I try to open it before my birthday! So I wait until this morning to open it LOL

To my granny
I will not be long as I'm sure this entry won't interest you a lot. I'd just like to pay tribute to my beloved granny who would have turned 93 today. She left us five years ago...

Here is a picture I particularly like. It was taking in 2000 New Year's Eve, her last one...

She was like my second Mum as I spent a lot of my childhood at her place (I should say their as my Grandpa was there too).

She was always there for me and used to say I was her fifth child. I'll always remember the smile on her face everytime I managed to have some days off and spent a few hours with her.

Granny, wherever you are, I just want to tell you that I love you and miss you lot...

A lovely sunny needleroll
Yesterday, I received my needleroll exchange from Renée.

It's a sunny needleroll and I don't know if it's because of it but the weather is beautiful and sunny since I received it. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Here is the needleroll.

The sun is stitched 1 over 1!

Thanks a lot, Renée, this needleroll will always bring sun in my home!

About needleroll exchange, mine is on its way and has a lot of miles to cover...Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I am spoilt rotten
It will be my birthday in a few days, but if you are regular readers of this blog, you know I already received (gorgeous) gifts from dear friends...

Two days ago, I received a parcel from my dear friend, Nicki. I knew she would send something as we are in the same group for the birthday exchange. Nevertheless, I wasn't prepared to receive so many gifts!!!

In fact, there were two parcels. The first one was for the Adopt a Stitcher activity (I'm her adopted stitcher) and the second one for the birthday exchange.

Look at all the goodies that were inside the first parcel!!!

Lovely charts, lovely threads and thread holder (with my name on it).

I was so happy with everything that I nearly forgot to open the second parcel! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I was speechless when I opened it!!! I have no words to say how beautiful is the bag Nicki stitched. Just have a look and you'll understand...

And as if it was not enough, she included some goodies too...

Dear Nicki, I'll never thank you enough for everything, you're such a sweetheart!!!
