Q is for...
...Queen.

This is what I stitched during the weekend.

I had to do some changes because of the fact I stitch over one. I didn't stitch the eyebrows of the queen and had to reduce the number of the queen stitches. Nevertheless, I like the result.

Next step: the rainbow.

Thanks a lot for all your comments about Jenna's RR.

I don't work this week but I don't know yet if I'm going to spend a lot of time stitching or if I'll do something else, but be sure I won't have time to get bored.

Have a lovely week.

Jenna's RR

Yesterday evening, I finished my work on Jenna's round robin.

Her theme is The Sweetheart Tree Hearts. The charts have a lot of specialty stitches as I like. It was hard to choose a design among the remaining ones and as I wanted to stitch one that would match the best with the ones already stitched, I did this one.

Jenna will add the charms later.

Here is the whole piece.

It is gorgeous, isn't it?

It was a real pleasure to stitch this design, maybe this is the reason why I only needed 4 evenings to stitch it...

Have a lovely weekend.

Biscornu
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I stitched this biscornu for my friend, Doris.

I won't tell you in details why I sent this to her, all I will say is that I had to send her something and I couldn't think about sending this thing without any goodies..

I chose 2 designs I found in a Mango book which was about "hearts", I used some V. Clayton silk I received from my dear Isabelle and a Silkweaver fabric.

I'm so sorry my posts are so short lately but I'm too busy to write long posts. Nevertheless, I want to thank you for your fidelity and I hope to write longer posts next week as I have a week off...

Once again...
...I received a lovely parcel from New Zealand.

This time, Nicki (I'm sure you guessed who sent the parcel) chose an Halloween theme.

As always, I love her choices: a Lavender Wings chart and a Lizzie Kate kit I wanted to have for a long time ago, plus gorgeous pieces of fabric.

Really, Nicki always puts all her heart into this exchange, she's one of the most generous person I know and I'll never thank her enough for all her gifts (and her friendship is one of these gifts).

Again, thank you so much, Nicki!

Birthday exchange
Yesterday, I received a parcel from Cari. She's in the same group as Nicki and I (and Leena but it seems she's "invisible" and didn't want to be a part of this exchange anymore...) for the birthday exchange.

Cari's parcel is late as my birthday was more than one month ago, but her gifts are so beautiful that it was worth the wait!

Here is what she sent:

You can see that she didn't forget Plume and sent her a lovely toy (she likes it a lot).

Here is the gorgeous needlecase Cari stitched (it was the first time she stitched one).

Not bad for a first one, no?
And the beautiful fob (she sent the scissors too).

I love the colours she used and I can tell you she did a lovely work as everything was stitched over one.

Really, I love everything. Thank you very much, Cari.

P'tite Mignonne (Little Cutie)
The ones who know me know that I'm tempted by scrapbooking, I like the artistic side of this activity, but the problem is that it is quite expensive...

Nevertheless, after reading different blogs and boards, I've heard about digital scrapbooking. Of course, the pleasure is not the same as everything is virtual and you can't touch the papers and ornaments you use but the advantage is that it is cheaper, especially because you can find a lot of free kits.

I found some beautiful papers and decided to create a page dedicated to the kitty of a very good friend.

Do you recognize her?

I used some papers from the kit "Sweet Serenity"(Shabby Princess).
This is the translation of the journaling: "Her real name is Violette but Little Cutie is so great for her..."

Now the most difficult part is to learn to use my software so I can create pages with ornaments, etc. I admit I like the simplicity of this page but honestly, I wanted to add a few ornaments but couldn't find how to do it... Maybe next time...

Disneyland Paris
One week ago, I went to Disneyland Paris for a day. It was the second time I went there and this time it was Disney's Halloween Festival!
I went there with my Mum (as usual, my Dad preferred to stay at home) and she really enjoyed her day.

Before I forgot, click on pictures to enlarge them.

Everywhere in the park, the Pumpkin Men are trying to paint everything in orange.

There was a huge pumpkin in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle where the kids went for a make up.

We started by "It's a small world" as there is always a lot of people queueing for this attraction.

Then, we went to the Pirates of the Caribbean, it was the first time I did it and I really liked it.

We wanted to do the Big Thunder Mountain but it was closed for servicing...

So we went to the Phantom Manor, one of my favourite attractions.

Outside (the scenery is different for Halloween):

When we went to Main Street to go to another part of the park, we saw the Halloween Cavalcade.

We did a lot of other things but I don't have any pictures to share, sorry.

Of course, we didn't want to miss the Disney Villain Parade!

We really had a wonderful day there with a pleasant weather.

And to end, here is a picture of the castle as it appears when there is no huge pumpkin to hide it.
