Carrot
Plume has several toys and her favorite one is never the same. Today, it was a carrot (full of catnip).
This carrot has a funny face.
First of all, she smells the carrot to see if it's HER carrot.
Then you must hold the object firmly because it may be alive.
And attack!!!
Poor carrot...

No pictures to share with you today...
I can't share any pictures with you today because I'm currently working on a surprise for Becky. You know she's my adopted stitcher and her birthday is in less than one month and I want to stitch something for her for this special day.I am happy with my work on it and how it looks like. As soon as it's finished, I will go back to my Nimuë chart. I'm thinking about having a rotation stitching, I know that a lot of stitchers use this method. I will try it a few weeks and will see if I like that way to stitch. Most of the time, I work on one or two designs at the same time, not more. But as there are a lot of designs I'd like to stitch, exchanges and SAL I'd like to join, I need to reorganize my work. How about you? Do you have a schedule and choose a day for each chart you are working on? Do you work on one chart only and don't begin a new one until this one is finished? Or does it depend on your mood?

Mouse
I spent the weekend at my parents and I worked on something with my mom. A few times ago, I fell in love for this lovely face.
I bought it but as I don't have any sewing machine, I need my mother's help.
There was everything I needed to do the mouse in the kit and the explanations were very clear.
1h30 later, we were done with the mouse.
(I added whiskers after I took the picture).
Plume seems to appreciate her new friend.
Of course, I didn't do a lot of cross stitch during the weekend. In fact, I started something but I can't tell you about is now as it's a surprise...

Knitted hat
I finished it last evening. It is the second one I knit. Now I will have to knit a scarf to match with it, but I will do it later as I have some cross-stitch project to do before.
I liked to do it, but I think cross stitching is more relaxing than knitting. May it is because I'm more comfortable with cross-stitching Nevertheless, I've seen some lovely knitted ponchos, but I think need to find someone who'll knit one for me...

Leena's Birthday gift
Leena's birthday was 3 days ago (January 16). We are in the same birthday exchange group. The concept is very exciting: 4 people in a group, everyone in the group will stitch something for each other person to send on the other person's birthday. So this means we have to stitch three pieces over the year and should receive an equal number in return on our birthday!Leena emailed me to say she received my gift, so I can share it with you now.I decided to stitch a coverbook for her. I hesitated a lot about what I would stitch and finally chose"shepherd cottage" from Elizabeth Designs. I enjoyed stitching it.
Here is a picture of the coverbook.
Unfortunately, the picture isn't very good and it's difficult to see that I used some lovely WDW to stitch it (beautiful colors, especially for the trees), you don't see very well the beads and special points. You can visite ED's site to see what her design looks like for real (mine was quite similar).
Leena is happy so I'm happy too. Thanks a lot for your nice comments about Plume and Joanie's job on the garden exchange

Top model
As you may know, Plume has her picture in a Maine Coon cat calendar (see here for more informations).
Now she likes to play as a top model. I have the proof!
First of all a festive "dress"
Then, she decided to wear a hat.
Don't you think she looks like a rasta man? I didn't knit this one (I bought it a few months ago). Yesterday, I finished one hat I knitted, I wonder if she will try to wear it ?...

Lovely surprise in the mail !
Today, I received a package from Joanie (USA). As I'm not waiting from anything from the US, I guessed it was for the Garden themed exchange. It coudn't be something else.
I went back to work without having time to open it, so I spent the afternoon wondering what was inside. Believe me, I was waiting for 5PM impatiently.
As soon as I arrived, I opened the envelope. I have to say that I love this moment when a surprise arrives and that I don't have any clue about it. I like to try to guess what the stitcher did for me!
So I opened the envelope and discovered this gorgeous cushion:
Isn't it lovely?
I like everything: the shape, the finishing which is perfect, the choice of the fabrics and of course, the cute rabbit!!!
I will hang it on a wooden tree in my living room. I only have 2 cushions (including this one), but it's the beginning of a collection...
Joanie added a chart (with charms and overdyed floss). It's lovely, I like it too!
Thank you very much Joanie for this perfect exchange. I'm really very pleased with everything!

Smoke
I stitched on the Nimuë design today. I'm pleased with my progress especially because I didn't stitched this week.
(click on the picture to see it larger)
If I work well, the pipe should be nearly finished tomorrow, then, I'll have to stitch the elf.
The result should look like this:
I need to add some links and pictures on this blog
I need to change the design on this blog (I think I'm going to ask Isabelle to help me ) and to add more link. So don't worry if your blog doesn't appear on the link, I will add it but I need a little more time... I may work on this during the weekend, but I'm sure I will spend more time on my cross-stitching work as I haven't worked on it this week!!!
Thank you for your comments on this new blog.
Enjoy your
